How many people have heard the phrase, Tough Love? I have been - TopicsExpress

How many people have heard the phrase, Tough Love? I have been criticized for my preaching because some feel like I am not being fair to the sinner. They will go as far as saying that Im turning my back in the sinner, and that Yeshua never would have turned his back on the sinners. Not true. If I were to have turned my back on the sinner, I would never have preached to them the advice that the Lord asked for us to pass on in order to hopefully save their soul from the fires of Gehenna. Yeshua indeed turned his back on the sinner. He not only turned his back in them but also cursed them: Matthew 11:20-24 Then he began to reproach the towns in which most of his miracles were worked, because they had not repented. Woe to thee, Corozain! Woe to thee, Bethsaida! For if Tyre and Sidon had been worked the muscles that have been worked in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you. And thou, Capharnaum, shall thou be exalted to heaven? Thou shall be thrust down to hell! For if the miracles had been worked in Sodom that have been worked in thee, it would have remained to this day. But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom on the day of judgment than for thee. Luke confirms this in 10:13-15 Yeshua also told the disciples do turn away from the sinners as well: Luke 10:10-12 But whatever town you enter, and they do not receive you-- go out into its streets and say, Even the dust from your town that cleaves to us we shake off against you; yet know this, that the kingdom of Yahweh is at hand. I say to you, that it will be more tolerable for Sodom in that day than for that town. Do not feel guilty or ashamed when others criticize you for being firm in the ways of our Lord. He will support you in those times.
