How many times have you heard it - losing weight is easy - just eat less than you burn - create a 3500 calorie deficit by eating less and moving more - etc - etc. There are no one-size-fits-all solutions. There are no miracle pills. And it is not as simple as eat less/move more. Yes, you need to exercise - for your health, regardless of weight. Yes, you need to eat right - for your health, regardless of weight. But when it comes to losing weight, you need more than will power, you need WANT power. You need to be able to define what it is you want and hold that mental image in your head. You have to want it more than you want the instant gratification of eating food. And you have to stick with it, even when it feels like nothing is working.
