How often do we see temperatures in the 80s on the Bay Area coast? Well, the big warmup coming our way this week will lift afternoon temps into the mid 80s in some coastal locations by Friday; so you know its going to be hot inland. In fact, our usual hot spots like Livermore, Antioch, Fairfield, Cloverdale, and Morgan HIll might easily reach 98 to 100 degrees on Friday, which will probably be the warmest/hottest day in our 7-day forecast period. Daytime temperatures will begin rising sharply on Wednesday, theyll peak on Friday, and then gradually moderate over the weekend. So, prepare for a taste of summerlike heat during the 5-day period Wednesday through Sunday. At ABC-7, well closely monitor the increasing fire risk that will likely accompany the big warmup.
