How old words become our words. I think I was three when this song came out. Yet I recall vietnam clear as day. For me it was TV talking about wounded or dead or even draft card numbers rolling across the screen. Now today, we see our young men going to war after war. Is their an ending to battles. Battles that shall only be remembered by those whom fought or history books. We call ourselves human, but when shall we live up to what human means. We must find some solutions. We people must start acting like human beings. If we fail, we find our men fighting true hate. IS in my thoughts are people without the thought of being human. So once again our young shall fight a war of pure hate. I pray after the battles have been fought, after the war is over that we find the solution to being human. This song speaks words of our young and our old. To any young man or women that goes to the doors of evil to battle, to wage war for peace. To fight to be human on our earth, I shall pray for your safe return and I shall never turn my back upon you. That I shall offer a salute to you service. A service to make our world a better place to live upon.
