How quickly we adapt to bad news. Here is a shocker for you, can you do some basic math with me? We have thousands of nuclear sites that require constant servicing and stability. If that doesnt happen, we get another Chernobyl / Fukushima. The servicing should happen for hundreds of thousands of years. That means some combination of electricity, capital maintenance, monitoring, or at least deep protective storage that should remain untouched by earthquakes, floods, revolutionary forces seeking to gain dirty nukes into their fight, etc... OK, so here comes the math part: Multiply thousands of sites by hundreds of thousands of years, overlaid by fault lines, overlaid by the number of violent revolutions likely during that time and humanity has a royal case of extermin-itis. This is a great documentary on the subject of this kind of vulnerability, a great artistic achievement in communication from Finland - https://youtube/watch?v=gQ3dT7xcMgU
