How soon is too soon to choose a photographer? Whats the rule of thumb? Our wedding is in June 2016, over a year away, so we have some time to search and find our best match. What is a reasonable time frame/unreasonable for providing a down payment or deposits? We just chose our venue and we were surprised by how far in advance some places were already booked - we dont want to have the same thing happen with a photographer, but also dont want to be left high and dry by choosing one too early and have some circumstance leave us scrambling to find another as the day gets closer.
