How thankful we can be that our God is a Savior who desires "all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth" (I Tim. 2:3-4) He is a God who is "not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Pet. 3:9) As one of the most beloved scriptures in the bible so simply n yet so powerfully states: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16) How great the love of our God is, and how great the provision He has made for our salvation - the sacrifice of His own Son! How glorious n precious is the truth that "Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose agin the third day. (I Cor. 15: 3-4) We need in no way be ashamed of the Gospel, "for it the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth" (Rom. 1:16). We are called, of course to join in the work of God by sharing the Gospel of Christ w/ the unsaved near n far (Mark 16: 15; Acts 1:8) If we do not have a heart for the lost, how vital it is that we seek the Lord to fill us w/ His love for the lost, and to empower us by His Holy Spirit to be a witness for Him.
