How the Bible books were compiled to become the 66 books it is - TopicsExpress

How the Bible books were compiled to become the 66 books it is today always intrigued me. How do we know that the Bible books we have today are really the books that we should have in the first place? What was the thought process by those people who decided to keep and reject books into and from the Bible? An important study and read is the chapter, "Study Number 4-The Bible and Its Canon". Once we know the rule, or canon, as a rigorous Bible student we will be able to help sincere individuals why other books were not included although media has pounced on these non-canonical books to take advantage of the hype and attention around them. The Bible was written by men and compiled by men. But the content and compilation exhibit the guiding hand of God. If we are studious, we will be in a position to showcase the facts to those who are open-minded enough to look into them, rather than building their opinions from opinions crafted by the media (who are more into sensationalism than critical thinking). m.wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1101990131 This other URL offered a nice, complementary information as well.
