How to Be a Perfect Parent... and Other Post-Modern Myths We all struggle with the pressures, and often the guilt, of not being good enough as a parent. Why is that? And if we could be a perfect parent, would that guarantee that we could raise perfect children? In this engaging and entertaining workshop, well explore this drive for perfection and the five parenting myths that steer us off course. This Sunday, September 21, 7 pm at The Rock School. What is Strategic Parenting? Many years ago, the Lord put it on my heart to begin gathering families for times of strengthening and encouragement. This Sunday night, I am launching a monthly program called Strategic Parenting, with a mission to encourage and equip parents toward faith-based transformation in the lives of their children. While I am educator with 20 years experience, and the father of four sons, I am by no means a parenting expert. But I believe there are principles that we can follow in raising our children that will lead them to bear good fruit as they grow older. And without us being stressed out along the way. I also believe in the power of community, and have experienced first-hand the wondrous encouragement and enthusiasm that comes from simply spending time talking about and thinking about my parenting practices with others. Who Should Attend? Parents, grandparents, mentors, teachers, and any one else who has a heart to shape the next generation. The workshops are hosted by The Rock School, but the community is welcomed regardless of school or church affiliation. Childcare is Provided Dont worry about trying to find a babysitter.
