How to Build A Steel Structure Frame Steel is not new for us, but installing them becomes a big problem after a consumer buying the steel structure products. What is worse, some companies are not so professional that they cannot provide some technical installation drawings and installation videos; the consumers will feel more confused. I am not a professional designer, but I am willing to try my best to share my knowledge about how to install steel structures. First, let us have a look at the parts of the steel structure frame. Before installed, a steel frame contains the main steel and the second steel; there are also other parts such like bolts, connecting plates and so on. Depending on the use, the main steel is divided into: steel columns, beams, crane beam. The second steel is divided into: purlins, support between columns, horizontal support, tie rod, brace, corner brace, brace, etc. The bolts are divided into: anchor bolts, high strength bolts, and common bolts. Then the detailed steps to install: A. Anchor bolts embedded. First the anchor bolts must be assembled into a combination according to the size. Then you should make a template according to the size you designed before. When you embed the anchor bolts, the template must be fitted on the anchor bolts and it must be located in the right place with the help of a theodolite. Finally pour concrete to fix. B.The installation of steel columns. Provided that the anchor bolts are installed correctly. Corner posts and gable steel columns are installed priority. Then correct and adjustment the anchor nut; then install the front wall steel columns of second axis; and so on. After lifted the steel columns should be corrected in order to correct the deviation caused by temperature, sunlight, etc. C.The installation of driving beams. The reason that the driving beams should be installed first: the worker can stand on the corbels while they are working. There are two spring plates under the driving beams, the smaller one is welded on the beam, and the slightly larger piece is bolted with the beam, and is welded with the corbel at the same time. There are connecting plate between the driving beam, and brake plate between driving beams and columns. These components are designed to stabilize the entire structure D.The installation of steel beams. Steel beams are generally combined in the ground and then be lifted up with the help of crane. E.The installation of horizontal support. The material of the support is round steel. They are used for stabilizing the steel beams. F.The installation of purlins. There are circular holes in both side of the C-beam. You can link C-beam and purlins pallet on the column by bolts. The beams can be connected by the purlins. G. The installation of tied rid. Tides are mainly used between steel columns and steel columns; they also played a role in stabilizing the structure. H.The installation of support between columns. They just like a cross between the columns,taking the advantage of the stability of triangle. The supports are composed mainly of angle iron and connecting plate. They are used for Stabilizing columns. After the installation of support between columns the entire steel structure can no longer be adjusted any more. I.The installation of braces. The purlins are connected by braces. J.The installation of anchor braces. The anchor is an angle iron. They are used to link the purlins and steel beams.
