How to Rediscovering the Gospel and exposing the other gospel. To find out if something is genuine you must go back to the original source. By doing so youre able to remove all traditions and additions to the original. You able to find out what has been added and what it looks like now From the original. We need to be G.I. students (Gospel investigating students) If you want to see Christianity at its best you must go back to the early church. The church may have been in its infancy but not the message. The message was preached by the best with the apostle Paul heading the rest. Some people think that Christians exult Paul above Jesus. Nothing could be further from the truth because God use Paul as the messenger of Grace. All Scripture is God breathed inspired by God. Pauls words are of the risen ascend & glorified Jesus Christ. Matthew Mark Luke and John record Jesus words but He has not yet died. All the epistles in the New Testament are the present-day words of Jesus Given through the apostle Paul. We have the letters of Paul but is there a place where we can find a sermon that Paul preached? Yes in the book of acts chapter 13. Acts 13:14-52 (NKJV) The Lord had recorded one of Paul’s sermons in the Bible. In Acts chapter 13, the Holy Spirit had preserved a sample of the gospel that Paul preached everywhere he went. So there it is, Paul’s sermon recorded for us by the Holy Spirit, word for word! Paul covered quite a lot of ground, but you have to see for yourself what the main thrust of Paul’s sermon was and where was his highest or most intense point of his sermon. Acts 13:38–39 38 Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man [ Jesus] is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; 39 and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses. The power of the gospel that Paul preached is found in the forgiveness of all your sins for “everyone who believes”. There is no other qualification for being forgiven of your sins. The old covenant was based on justification by works (obedience to the Ten Commandments). You had to perform to be forgiven. But the new covenant of grace is based entirely on justification by faith (believing in Jesus Christ). Can you see the radical difference? The demand is no longer on you, but on Christ. This is the good news: All who believe in Jesus receive the forgiveness of all their sins and are justified from all things! This is Good news! There is no better news than this! All who believe in Jesus receive the forgiveness of all their sins and are justified from all things!
