How to Speak to Families on Tight Budgets Words of Wisdom from Platinum Leader Tonja Parr! Question: Need yalls wisdom.. We have lots of young families who are on tight budgets. That being said they want and NEED extra income, want to do the business and follow the success system but they are talking to poor tight budget people who cant even afford spark. How do you interrupt this cycle! I know the where theres a will theres a way but would love some extra input. My Response: This is a great question but here are a few things Ive noticed over the years: 1. Ive only met a handful of people who are truly so budgeted that they cant afford AdvoCare if they CHOOSE to. 2. Cant tell you the number of people who say they cant afford AdvoCare as I stand and admire their nails that are obviously done at a salon, the beautiful colors of highlights in their hair, hear their stories about dinners out, trips, etc. 3. ***I always talk about HOW TO WORK INTO NORMAL BUDGET before I ever “ask for the sale I ask a lot of questions, Tell me about your day. What do you eat for breakfast? Snacks? How many times a week do you eat out? etc. As Im listening Im positioning AdvoCare for THAT PERSON. For example, Well, Suzie, this is awesome! Based on what youre telling me, were going to be able to help you PUT MONEY IN YOUR POCKET from the get-go, and thats without the option of getting your products at a discount. Then Ill add, Like I said earlier, that was one of the things I was excited about when we first started AdvoCare and our kids were little! We were SAVING money because we werent buying all the little things like snacks, stops at drive throughs, etc. “Youll be paying more up front but SAVING at the end of the month. This is also where I’m very strong about the Business of AdvoCare. I do this with MY STORY. I remember thinking I didn’t have a few dollars a day to buy products and that was one thing that made me MAD! “How could I be 31 years old and NOT have that??! Something’s not working for our family’s finances and something’s got to change.” One more thing - I always match up products to their budgets. For example, break the 24 Day Challenge into 2 separate purchases, go with The Active Challenge to start, Spark and a Cleanse, etc. Meet people where they are and show them options of where they can go.
