How to clear the passenger seat in 5 seconds. Coming home from Bozeman, enjoying highway 83 through the Swan Seeley. I love Salmon Lake, it is a beautiful setting, this time the water was smooth not a ripple and a perfect mirror. The lake is to my left, when I suddenly noticed to my right 3 deer slipping down the hill. We were going to be in the same place soon, stepped on the brakes, 80% of front seat cleared. The front deer kept coming and ran across the road, the other two started going parallel to the road. I continued on through the interesting town of Seeley. When again I noticed a deer sliding down the hill again stopping, 95% of seat cleared. Im thinking I had better watch for the third set of deer, after all everything happens in 3s. Sure enough further down the road there is a deer standing at the side of the road getting ready to run across. I stop seat still not cleared. That deer stopped looked at me and turned around and ran. The funny thing each set of deer were in groups of three. That was it there were no more animals on the road. That is one of the reasons I do not like going at dusk or night on that road. It is a gorgeous road to drive, the lakes (15), the elk, the wolf, and the trees forming beautiful walls.
