How to fail #ACCA F5 - PQ A now former ACCA student, Asad Babar, has been removed from the student register after threatening to kill “all the Biritshers and jews and non-muslims” in his F5 paper. The ACCA disciplinary committee found Babar guilty of misconduct by reason of writing offence statements in his script, when he also wrote among other things: “…I will attack India…”. “Then I will attack the west and Europe – world war III will be started by me just as Hitler started world war II”. The ruling is still subject to an appeal and in the ‘reason for decision’ papers Babar claimed that someone else must have used his identity to sit the exam as he was ill. He also asked for his handwriting to be checked. However, the committee did not find these excuses ‘remotely credible’. He was removed from the register with immediate effect and ordered to pay costs of £2,256.50. Another student, Roberto Simeone, has also been removed from the register. He failed to bring to the attention of the ACCA the fact that he had been convicted for assault, contrary to bye-law 10(b). The charge relates to an allegation that he spat into the face of ‘Person A’, a fellow female student of Simeone. Again the ACCA wanted it noted that this case may be subject to an appeal.
