How to make cheesy tofu scramble (vegan substitute for eggs) in order. Firm or extra firm water packed tofu is required such as nasoya, house foods ect.. 1. Add one or two tablespoons if oil to a non stick skillet 2. Sauté a whole onion medium low heat until the onions look clear( keep eyebon them and add a pinch of salt to help) 3. Use your tofu press or your best method to press the tofu to the best of your ability(some water will still be in it and thats okay) 4. Crumble or cut the tofu block into pieces depending on how you want your tofu scramble to look 5. Gather your spices(nutritional yeast as well to give it a more more of a cheesy taste, tumeric is a must and you only need a pinch) black salt has been said by vegans to give an eggy flavor to your tofu (although I have not tried it yet) 6. Add the tofu to your onions along with the spices (including the yeast) until the tofu changes to an egg like colour 7. Add your cheese or cheese sauce next and taste for seasoning ( we use daiya or cheese sauce from the non dairy evuloution cookbook, in this case we did 8.enjoy:) share and like please:)
