How to pray for a missionary. Pray for unity. Ps. 133:1 How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! Missionaries face tremendous obstacles to achieve and maintain unity. True unity in Christ can only come by being united in truth and love. Those they minister to come from very different backgrounds religiously and culturally. Once they turn to Christ, there is a long road of learning and changing to a new world view, a Christian world view. This is often hard and slow and can lead to much misunderstanding. Pray missionaries will be able to clearly teach the truths of the Word of God, not their cultural values and be patient as change is often slow. Even among missionaries who come from different backgrounds, their will be differences of understanding and applying truth, pray that they will be able to be united in Christ, the Son of the living God.
