How will the federal government pay for the expansion of Medicaid? - TopicsExpress

How will the federal government pay for the expansion of Medicaid? Besides running up the taxpayer credit card and adding two dozen new taxes or tax hikes, the expansion of Medicaid will be paid for by rationing care to seniors. Obamacare mandates $716 Billion in cuts to Medicare and we are already seeing the effects. Treatments which used to be paid for under Medicare now need to be paid for out of pocket or via supplemental coverage. While some may claim that these Medicare reductions under Obamacare will occur whether or not Michigan expands Medicaid, it is important to understand how the federal government intended to fund Medicaid Expansion prior to the Supreme Court ruling that provided the states with a degree of flexibility on the expansion. In this light, there is no denying the fact that anyone who votes in favor of Medicaid Expansion is also voting for the rationing of care for seniors. I personally find this practice reprehensible and will continue my strident opposition to Medicaid Expansion in Michigan.
