How will we explain weeks like this to our friends, babies, unborn siblings, and grand children. Yesterday and today the funeral services were held for our fallen mates. Sons, cousins, nephews, team mates, and friends. We come in contact with thousands of people in our lives. Some we grow to know, care about, and even love over time. Others we know immediately will have a lasting impact on our lives the second we meet them. Matthew and Alex were these boys who you instantly knew were special. They had a joy for life that they were unable to hide. Their huge smiles and beautiful hearts were on display at all times. They have been taken for GOD to use as his angels and in our human opinion they were taken from us too soon. But how are we to know Gods plan for them. We are held with the responsibility to carry their light for them on this earth, and we must respond. Their team mates will take the field again this coming weekend. We have adopted the motto of Strength and Honor! Strength for our courage, our unity, our commitment to each other, and our inbreakable bond. And honor in that all we do on the field from this moment on will be for their honor. Gone, but never forgotten. We will never forget these boys, its just not possible. Their light was just too bright. We WILL make you proud as I know you are on Gods starting eleven and will always be looking down on us from Heaven.
