How wonderful is Pauline Epistles. Since these were letters to the Churches of his time, we must read it one sitting to understand the message behind it. Quoting scriptural verses without understanding the message of these letters will lead to legalism. The methodology Apostle Paul used was revealing the spiritual or heavenly reality of the belivers in Christ FIRST, then he address their issues in the earth or physical reality. Our solution is in Jesus and believing our identity in Him is how we solve any issues in life. Some of them or most of the issues of the Churches then are unique to the time point they lived. The problem that I see in the 21st century churches is we focus on verses where Apostle Paul address the physical issues without revealing the actual solution in Christ FIRST. Revealing the spiritual reality of a believer in Christ is not that easy, it needs a lot of meditation and openness to hear our teacher Holy Spirit, to get the revelation. Bible college will not teach this truth. I feel sorry to see lot of spiritual babies on the pulpits taking scriptures out of context and deceiving the flocks. God is raising up a new generation from the pews and re-building the original true foundation in Christ and His perfect work on the cross laid by the Apostles. Reveal our identity in CHRIST First, and deal with the present day issues within the Body of Christ, instead of just focusing on the verses that is addressed unique to those churches. Theres is a complaint against the grace people that they are only referring to the verses that talks about believers Spiritual identity in Christ and ignoring the other verses. This is exactly why we do that. 21st Century issues are different, but the solution is still the same which is Jesus and His Finished work on the cross. Our balance is in Christ, not Grace with laws. Colossians 2:2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 2:3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. കൊലൊസ്സ്യർ 2:2 അവർ ക്രിസ്തുവെന്ന ദൈവ മർമ്മത്തിന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനവും വിവേകപൂർണ്ണതയുടെ സമ്പത്തും പ്രാപിപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം സ്നേഹത്തിൽ ഏകീഭവിച്ചിട്ടു ഹൃദയങ്ങൾക്കു ആശ്വാസം ലഭിക്കേണം എന്നുവെച്ചു ഞാൻ എത്ര വലിയ പോരാട്ടം കഴിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിവാൻ ഞാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു. 2:3 അവനിൽ ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെയും പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെയും നിക്ഷേപങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെയും ഗുപ്തമായിട്ടു ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
