Howard Street update: For those of you who have been following the story, we have been working with property owners and residents in the 800 block of Howard Street to restore peace and order. Things have settled down tremendously. Police calls have dropped and neighbors reports things have improved greatly. The neighborhood officers met with 4 property owners about the conduct of their tenants and several have received eviction notices. Non residents were served with no trespass orders. We received information today that occupants of 2 residences which were the source of many of the complaints have moved, one out state. Over the weekend the neighborhood teams and Bravo district patrol officers stopped vehicles for traffic violations and several people were cited. Come to Green Bay on vacation, go home on probation. We have more work to do and we will continue to monitor the situation closely. Thanks to all the citizens who called us and reported suspicious or illegal activity and thanks for helping look after the neighborhood. This is what neighborhood policing is all about. -Capt.
