Howatt and Ramsay Score Huge Victories at Annual Bracket Bash Greenfield Dragway, August 15-17, 2014 The 11th annual Super Saturday Bracket Bash took place this past weekend and racers from all over the Maritimes converged on Greenfield to take a shot at the beefy purses. The first round of box eliminator saw over 70 entries in the lanes, and with buybacks, round two still had 56 competitors make the call, setting-up a seven round war of attrition. In the 6th round semi- final, the brothers Howatt squared off and it was Clayton who took the win with his small block Dart when Bruce turned on the red with his big block powered Roadrunner. Wellington, PEI’s Brett Ramsay punched his ticket to the final when Glenn Frizzell red-lighted away his chances on his 1000cc Arctic Cat. In a very tight final, Ramsay ran 10.914 on a 10.91 dial to take the win over Ingram’s 12.834 on 12.82 effort.
