Howdy Friends! ~ Surrounded by thick black roots, lush green moss lay in a dense carpet of green, a God made moss garden framed by fallen leaves colored red, yellow and pink. This painting hangs not on an art gallery wall, though it could, but lends its beauty to one of the paths from our barn to Kessys far hay bag. A work of art, most trips it calls me to this upper path, though not the most direct route to the small oak upon which Kessys bag hangs, just to enjoy the simple beauty that shouts Im a masterpiece! Our adopted kitties have come to enjoy the far bag trek and scurry between trees, over logs and dash around Saturday, me and Kessys legs – which on occasion garner them a head shake and pinned ears, but never a misplaced hoof. Kessy has already come to enjoy, indeed expect, their abundant energy that is their friendship. Coffee Clutch now resembles an early morning gathering at a tiny restaurant, secluded along a lonely country road, but alive with chatter and friendship inside. My temporarily empty lap, after the passing of both Tigger and Miss Kitty is once again spilling over with kitten love. Though they havent yet mastered the art of snuggling down, preferring to bounce up for a quick hug then leap away to chase a shadow, leaf or chicken. Kessy loves the new patrons, even as she tolerates Lil Bits infatuation with tail climbing, and yup the Coffee Clutch is humming with morning chatter and friendship. If had one wish it would be, every horse everywhere had a Coffee Clutch.
