We are looking at filling this position by the end of September. Zachry Industrial, Inc. is currently seeking an Execution Planning Coordinator for its Home Office in San Antonio, TX. Position Summary: The Execution Planning (EP) Coordinator assists the Execution Planning (EP) Manager with developing schedules and execution plans for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project proposals, as well as work with current Zachry EPC projects to develop execution strategies which support the project schedule and execution plan(s). Roles and Responsibilities: • Work with the proposal project scheduler to develop the work breakdown structure, sequences, activities, and logic in the EPC proposal schedule. • Create and monitor the development of various execution plans for submission with EPC proposals. • Captures appropriate information from the support groups during the proposal phase and builds them into the proposal’s execution plan. • Create timelines and visuals which are used to convey work sequences and other execution strategies using programs such as Google Earth, Sketchup, Adobe Acrobat X Pro, Visio, and Excel. • Ensures the project proposal and project execution teams have established development timelines and scheduled project planning meetings. • Travel to Zachry projects and engineering offices to support the following: • Create a detailed plan for project mobilization • Enhance the execution plans through frequent planning meetings at the site • Developing constructability strategies • Supports facilitation of frequent planning meetings as part of the project planning process, involving purposeful communication and meeting efficiency, by coordinating with the project teams and partners resulting in a clear path forward of the plan • Ensure communication is documented and acted upon amongst all business units during the proposal execution planning phase • Ensures consistent implementation of project planning through development of a thorough and well thought out Project Execution Plan • Coordinate the appropriate execution planning meeting participants and speakers with project team members to ensure key stakeholder participation, including the owner, our partners, major vendors, etc. • Prepare agendas, presentations and be able to communicate with different levels of management Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in Construction Management/Science and Engineering is preferred. Experience: • 2 to 5 years engineering or construction field experience with a bachelor’s degree is preferred • 10 years of engineering or construction field experience is preferred if candidate does not have a Bachelor’s Degree. Required skills: • Detail oriented for preparing visuals, schedules, presentations, etc. • Organizational and meeting facilitation skills • Good written and communication skills • Competency with standard server software applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Word, etc. Desired skills: • A general knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction. • Basic understanding of Primavera scheduling software Zachry is dedicated in providing a Safe and Drug Free work environment; and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
