Howdy! This is Karen from Texas, USA. I was bothered by a previous post, and wanted you, my friends, to know the truth from an American. The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) has been SENT BY GOD, not Satan. My husband and I both have Obamacare. WE DO NOT HAVE RADIO DEVICES IMPLANTED IN US, I PROMISE! We do not even deal with the government because USA insurance is still a privatized system. We just went to what is called the Health Marketplace online where all the insurance companies participating are listed and chose our plan. This year 70 new companies joined creating competition and lowering prices. There are hundreds of plans to choose from, and they all have to offer certain minimum standards of care. The only thing the government did was check to see if we qualified for a tax credit to lower our premiums based on our income to make it affordable. We pay our premiums to the insurance company and only deal with them. No government involvement at all. Before Obamacare, insurance premiums and medical expenses were doubling yearly. If a person had any previous illness(preexisting condition), they were denied coverage by insurance companies. If a person was self employed, it was too expensive to get insurance. Hospitals and doctors will not see patients without insurance.Millions of Americans could not get health insurance or medical care. OUR OLD SYSTEM WAS ONE BIG MESS!! This is Americas first attempt at universal medical care for all our citizens. There are still some things that have to be worked on, but it is a success. Last year 14 million Americans who did not have medical care before finally received it. Numbers are supposed to be higher this year. I adore President Obama.He is a devout Christian and has a Pentecostal pastor as his spiritual mentor. I read The Presidential Devotionals every day. No other President in our history has ever received as much hateful things said about him as President Obama and basically just because he is black. Racism is still a big problem in America. I am white but skin color has never made any difference to me. But the number of OBAMA HATERS is astronomical Obama came into office right after Bush when the US Banks created an almost global economic collapse. Unemployment was over 10% and investors saw their life savings in Wall Street shrink to nothing. We are still pulling out of The Great Recession of 2007, but Wall Street investments are booming again, and unemployment is down to 5.6%. Obama has had the worst Congress ever to work with. The only plan the Republicans had during his first term was too see Obama fail and make sure he is a 1Term President. I do not know why the USA has not sent help with Boca Haram except that I know we are heavily involved in Syria and Iraq helping fight off ISIL which has about 30,000 Terrorist fighters. I do not know how large Boca Haram is, but it cannot be as large as ISIL and I think one fly over by the US Airforce would pretty much wipe them out. I do not understand US foreign policy as it does not make sense to me many times. I know that I can send a message to President Obama asking him to send you all some help. His secretary will probably read it, but at least I will feel like I have tried. I will continue to pray for your safety and that the upcoming elections will be led by the power of God. WE TRULY HAVE AN AWESOME GOD WHO IS VERY BIG AND CAN DO THINGS WE NEVER THOUGHT POSSIBLE. Blessings to you all.
