Howdy folks, who is up enjoying the weekend so far? Whats the weather like in your neck of the woods? It is hot and getting hotter here in Phoenix! Visiting with my aunt last night was pretty awesome. She is the younger sister of my late father. My parents split when I was very young, then my mother remarried. Unfortunately my father passed away when I was 11 so I never really had the chance to know him, in fact I have very few memories of him. Growing up we had very little contact with that side of my family. Last night I learned a lot, not just about him but about our family history. One detail that tickled me is the fact that my father was an engineer by trade but like to bake as a hobby. He would enter baking/cooking contests and apparently was pretty good! My aunt says she can see a lot of him in me... Lori
