Hows this for a small world? At the dentist this AM I recited my cell phone # to the receptionist. Another patient in the waiting room apologizes for overhearing the area code and asks if were from Cleveland. Not so strange, that, as there are lots of Puerto Ricans in the Cleveland metro area, esp. on the west side (you may have heard of Ariel Castro?). So I reply that we have a house in Chesterland. Turns out he has a sister who lives across from St. Anselms, another who lives in Kirtland across from the FarmPark, a third in Mentor, another sister in Copley, and a brother in Strongsville. Blew me away! His family was originally from New York but the father moved to Ohio for work. I asked him why he returned to PR and he said for employment (!!! -- many Ricans are leaving to the states for the same reason) - hes an English prof. at Interamerican University in San Germán. Turns out we have some friends in common here in PR as well.
