Huk squadron leader Simeona Punsalan a.k.a. Kumander Guerero has come a long way since we first met her in San Simon town earlier this year (Photo 2). She landed on the pages of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, made the evening news, got her government pension back, received financial assistance from the municipal and provincial governments, and was the star of the night at the MOKA Awards on Pampanga Day! When Archbishop Emeritus Paciano Aniceto approached her and told her, Kalagu yu po! she replied, Ay, matsura ku pu! Those were my exact words and that was her exact reply when we first met too!
