By The Grace Of The True Guru: ਦੁਲਭ ਜਨਮੁ ਪੁੰਨ ਫਲ ਪਾਇਓ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਾਤ ਅਬਿਬੇਕੈ ॥ दुलभ जनमु पुंन फल पाइओ बिरथा जात अबिबेकै ॥ I obtained this precious human life as a reward for my past actions, but without discriminating wisdom, it is wasted in vain. ਰਾਜੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਸਮਸਰਿ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਆਸਨ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਹਹੁ ਕਿਹ ਲੇਖੈ ॥੧॥ राजे इंद्र समसरि ग्रिह आसन बिनु हरि भगति कहहु किह लेखै ॥१॥ Tell me, without devotional worship of the Lord, of what use are mansions and thrones like those of King Indra? ||1|| ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਓ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਮ ਕੋ ਰਸੁ ॥ न बीचारिओ राजा राम को रसु ॥ You have not considered the sublime essence of the Name of the Lord, our King; ਜਿਹ ਰਸ ਅਨ ਰਸ ਬੀਸਰਿ ਜਾਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ जिह रस अन रस बीसरि जाही ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ This sublime essence shall cause you to forget all other essences. ||1||Pause|| ਜਾਨਿ ਅਜਾਨ ਭਏ ਹਮ ਬਾਵਰ ਸੋਚ ਅਸੋਚ ਦਿਵਸ ਜਾਹੀ ॥ जानि अजान भए हम बावर सोच असोच दिवस जाही ॥ We do not know what we need to know, and we have become insane. We do not consider what we should consider; our days are passing away. ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀ ਸਬਲ ਨਿਬਲ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਬੁਧਿ ਪਰਮਾਰਥ ਪਰਵੇਸ ਨਹੀ ॥੨॥ इंद्री सबल निबल बिबेक बुधि परमारथ परवेस नही ॥२॥ Our passions are strong, and our discriminating intellect is weak; we have no access to the supreme objective. ||2|| ਕਹੀਅਤ ਆਨ ਅਚਰੀਅਤ ਅਨ ਕਛੁ ਸਮਝ ਨ ਪਰੈ ਅਪਰ ਮਾਇਆ ॥ कहीअत आन अचरीअत अन कछु समझ न परै अपर माइआ ॥ We say one thing, and do something else; entangled in endless Maya, we do not understand anything. ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਉਦਾਸ ਦਾਸ ਮਤਿ ਪਰਹਰਿ ਕੋਪੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਜੀਅ ਦਇਆ ॥੩॥੩॥ कहि रविदास उदास दास मति परहरि कोपु करहु जीअ दइआ ॥३॥३॥ Says Ravi Daas, Your slave, O Lord, I am disillusioned and detached; please, spare me Your anger, and have mercy on my soul. ||3||3|| ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਸੁਰਤਰ ਚਿੰਤਾਮਨਿ ਕਾਮਧੇਨੁ ਬਸਿ ਜਾ ਕੇ ॥ सुख सागरु सुरतर चिंतामनि कामधेनु बसि जा के ॥ He is the ocean of peace; the miraculous tree of life, the wish-fulfilling jewel, and the Kaamadhayna, the cow which fulfills all desires, all are in His power. ਚਾਰਿ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਅਸਟ ਦਸਾ ਸਿਧਿ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਕਰ ਤਲ ਤਾ ਕੇ ॥੧॥ चारि पदारथ असट दसा सिधि नव निधि कर तल ता के ॥१॥ The four great blessings, the eighteen supernatural spiritual powers of the Siddhas, and the nine treasures, are all in the palm of His hand. ||1|| ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨ ਜਪਹਿ ਰਸਨਾ ॥ हरि हरि हरि न जपहि रसना ॥ You do not chant with your tongue the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, Har. ਅਵਰ ਸਭ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਬਚਨ ਰਚਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ अवर सभ तिआगि बचन रचना ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Abandon your involvement in all other words. ||1||Pause|| ਨਾਨਾ ਖਿਆਨ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਬੇਦ ਬਿਧਿ ਚਉਤੀਸ ਅਖਰ ਮਾਂਹੀ ॥ नाना खिआन पुरान बेद बिधि चउतीस अखर मांही ॥ The various Shaastras, Puranaas, and the Vedas of Brahma, are made up of thirty-four letters. ਬਿਆਸ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ ਕਹਿਓ ਪਰਮਾਰਥੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਸਰਿ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੨॥ बिआस बिचारि कहिओ परमारथु राम नाम सरि नाही ॥२॥ After deep contemplation, Vyaas spoke of the supreme objective; there is nothing equal to the Lords Name. ||2|| ਸਹਜ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਉਪਾਧਿ ਰਹਤ ਫੁਨਿ ਬਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ॥ सहज समाधि उपाधि रहत फुनि बडै भागि लिव लागी ॥ Very fortunate are those who are absorbed in celestial bliss, and released from their entanglements; they are lovingly attached to the Lord. ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਧਰਿ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਭੈ ਭਾਗੀ ॥੩॥੪॥ कहि रविदास प्रगासु रिदै धरि जनम मरन भै भागी ॥३॥४॥ Says Ravi Daas, enshrine the Lords Light within your heart, and your fear of birth and death shall run away from you. ||3||4|| ਜਉ ਤੁਮ ਗਿਰਿਵਰ ਤਉ ਹਮ ਮੋਰਾ ॥ जउ तुम गिरिवर तउ हम मोरा ॥ If You are the mountain, Lord, then I am the peacock. ਜਉ ਤੁਮ ਚੰਦ ਤਉ ਹਮ ਭਏ ਹੈ ਚਕੋਰਾ ॥੧॥ जउ तुम चंद तउ हम भए है चकोरा ॥१॥ If You are the moon, then I am the partridge in love with it. ||1|| ਮਾਧਵੇ ਤੁਮ ਨ ਤੋਰਹੁ ਤਉ ਹਮ ਨਹੀ ਤੋਰਹਿ ॥ माधवे तुम न तोरहु तउ हम नही तोरहि ॥ O Lord, if You will not break with me, then I will not break with You. ਤੁਮ ਸਿਉ ਤੋਰਿ ਕਵਨ ਸਿਉ ਜੋਰਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ तुम सिउ तोरि कवन सिउ जोरहि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ For, if I were to break with You, with
