Hull Medics 5 – 0 The Cents This game was a big game for the travelling Cents. The Cents on paper had one of their strongest teams of the season. However, once again, the Medics showed how hard they are to beat with a clinical performance. Fred Atkin arrived late to the game after police searched for his penis after it was chopped of in a revenge attack by Gypsies in the Middlesbrough area and James Revell-Hopwood miraculously returned a week after having a stroke and a heart attack. Top club man Henry Waterhouse joined the Cents for the second time this season. Henry however had an afternoon to forget. Everyone knows that Henry loves scrummaging. After ten minutes the game went to uncontested scrums. To further compound the miserable afternoon for Henry happened during an incident after the game. Anybody who knows Henry or who has showered with Henry will Know that he has a huge.. appetite, and after the game there was no food for this hungry prop forward. Another top Driffield club man Alex Piercy made his Cents debut. With the news that Alex was playing, this contributed in the highest ever number of fans to attend a Cents fixture. This was due to Alex’s infamous swan dive celebration. Alex didn’t score, however he did celebrate after making a big tackle, he regrettably celebrated and did the Quenelle anti-Semitic celebration that has got footballer Nickolas Anelka into so much trouble. This sparked a mini riot and really angered a core of the Medics Jewish players and supporters. The whole game changed when it went to uncontested scrums in the first half, and it was a real shame as it appeared to play into the Medics hands. The Cents are however not bitter and recognise that the Medics are a very organised bunch with some dangerous players. Iron Knee Woodmansey had another tireless game alongside Simon Horny. Revell Hopwood returned and had a good game, alongside Farm strength, Piercy and Diamond Joe who all looked dangerous when they were able to get the ball in there hands. Andrew Chapman also showed glimpses of the player he can be. Men of the match this week were awarded to Adam Brankley and Gary Shipley. Both lads got stuck in and tried in vain to neutralise the Medics relentless onslaught. The Medics defence over the two games this season has seen the Cents yield zero points past them. Only 5 points have been scored in the last two games, after the nil nil game earlier in the year. Hullensians next week. Up the Cents.
