Hull boss Bruce backs Arsenal for Premier League title!!! Hull City manager Steve Bruce gave Arsenal his backing for the Premier League title after the Gunners defeated his side 2-0 at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night. Arsene Wenger’s side were dominant throughout and scored early in each half through Nicklas Bendtner and Mesut Ozil to sustain their four-point lead at the top of the table. Bruce admitted his side found it tough after their exertions at the weekend in the 3-1 win over Liverpool but believes his side lost to potential title winners. He said: “We couldnt get near them, we sat and watched them dance round us but we had to stay at it. “McGregor’s pulled off a wonderful save from Ramsey but for all their territorial stuff he hasn’t had to make many saves but their possession, one-twos, breathtaking. “We’ve killed ourself twice though, first minute. Last thing you need is to concede early. Because when their tail’s up and they’re confident, they’re a very difficult side to play against because of their sheer quality. “Thankfully the resilience of us we stuck at it because it could have been one of those embarrassing evenings.” Asked if he felt his side had lost to the eventual Premier League winners, Bruce responded: “Why can they not? Everybody’s stuttering along, the only one who isn’t is this lot, they keep winning, so why not?” Arsenal moved 12 points clear of rivals Manchester United following their 1-0 home defeat to Everton but Wenger refused to declare David Moyes’ side out of the title race. Speaking to reporters, Wenger said: “It’s still early - it’s a surprising defeat but it’s still early. We’ve seen it before - 12 points on us - but of course we just have to keep winning to have a chance and not worry too much about the others.” The Frenchman did express his dissatisfaction with the Gunners’ upcoming schedule, particularly bemoaning the early Saturday kick-off against Manchester City, following their match at Napoli next Wednesday. He added: “We have a very heavy schedule which is why I had to rest some players today and rotate. “Now we play Everton on Sunday with little distance between Everton and Naples and Saturday morning against Manchester City. It’s not fair or unfair, it’s just no coordination between the television choices. “We could have played Saturday against Everton and Sunday or Monday against Man City. “It looks strange that we play Saturday morning and our next game is Monday night against Chelsea 10 days later. Particularly when there is a Champions League game on Wednesday night.”
