Human Beings... We Think/Act as if we are so great... But for all of our greatness and accomplishments, we have been terrible stewards of the life and nature on planet Earth. But at almost 90 years old (he can live to be between 150-200 years old) Lonesome George is just fine. He is the LAST OF HIS KIND - The only Saddleback Galapagos Tortoise alive... Humans destroyed his entire race/sub-species and he refuses to mate to create more of his kind who we would just STUDY/EXPERIMENT upon anyway... Since I was a child, it has been my goal to visit The Galápagos Islands and meet him and his cousin species and pay my respect and honor to those who live and see beyond our lives.
