Human Rights and Drug Use: Did you know that cocaine driven conflict in Colombia has cost 220,000 lives, and made 450,000 people lose their homes. The people who help to make the powder from the Coca leaf spend hours treading the leaves into a pulp in a pool of parafin or petrol which causes both physical and mental heatlh problems. They get paid about 50p a day for 12 hours work. And its not all cocaine. CANNABIS has a cost on human life too. There is evidence that children from countries such as Vietnam are being trafficked into Britain to work as slaves on cannabis farms. (from Independent 03/10/14) Makes you think doesnt it?
