Human beings were given dominion over all other living creatures. If you are not religious, then you can say human beings are the top of the food chain and circle of life. The FALSE belief with either of these statements is that this power gives humans the rights to be dictators, commit torture, abandon, neglect, abuse and hate. Being at the top REALLY MEANS that we have all been given a huge responsibility... That is to PROVIDE for every other living thing on this planet. To provide safety, love, food, medical and housing for domesticated animals. To provide a natural, quality life and humane, painless, quick death for livestock used for food. And to protect the natural environment, including homes/shelter, food and water for those that live in the wild. We have been trusted to PROTECT and TAKE CARE of all living things. Many, NOT ALL, of the human race have completely lost perspective of this most important job. They see animals as ours to use and abuse and torture for our entertainment. Not food. Not NEEDS. Just because we can, so we do. Dogs are FORCED into extreme exercise and training routines. They are kicked, abused and taught that they must kill to eat and survive. Some are bait dogs; restrained by duck tape as another is allowed to chew them to death. Others try their best to survive and end up like this picture. This behavior is DANGEROUS! Not only to the terrible suffering of the dog, who DOES FEEL AS MUCH PAIN as you and I... but because it destroys the natural human ability for empathy and compassion. Animal abuse is a stepping stone to crimes against people and children. The torture, captivity/imprisonment, abuse, abandonment, misuse, hatred, indifference of ALL animals entrusted to our care: Livestock (in factor farms), dogs forced into fighting, animals abandoned in yards with no shelter, warmth or love, animals abandoned on the streets or to kill shelters. I could go on and on. This behavior is NOT of love. It is NOT of GOD. It is not of the bible. It is not a natural process. This behavior is a misleading trick of something dark to harden the hearts of human beings and to lead them into a greater possibility of hatred for all living things. To assist them to have no value for any living creature or life other than their own; SELFISHNESS. We need more people to not only care... but to SPEAK UP! Call the police when you see any animal being mistreated. See it for what it is... an EVIL that extends far beyond the helpless animal. Additionally, please stop supporting places that use animals for profit. Kidnapping a baby whale is a life trauma that causes emotional wounds deeper than I can express. Trapping animals meant to live in a HUGE OCEAN home do not belong in a tiny tank for you to stare at. This is TORTURE! This is ABUSE! This is NOT loving. No matter how you spin it, you either choose your entertainment or you choose the responsibility to treat all living creatures with respect and value as their life was meant to have.
