HALO has conducted Mineclearance and Ordnance Disposal in Somaliland since 1999 and currently employs over 600 local staff. TITLE: Archivist Duration: One year with probability of extension depending on performance Duty Location: Hargeisa, Somaliland Monthly Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience Closing date: 30th June, 2014 SUMMARY: Under the overall guidance and supervision of HALO Trust Projects Officer, the Archivist will control all program archives. The archivist will closely work with the GIS officer. KEY RESPOSIBILITIES He/she is responsible for the scanning and archiving (both hard and soft copies) of all survey, completion minefield reports and progressive minefield maps He/she is responsible for updating Minefield Task Books He/she will be responsible for the scanning and archiving (both hard and soft copies) of all socio economic data He/she will be responsible for the HALO Photo Archive He/she will be responsible for the consistency of Socio-economic data and enter this data into an Access database He/she will be conduct translation and or other tasks as requested Qualifications Secondary school certificate or equivalent Vocational certificate in Archive is more preferable. Work experience At least one years’ relevant experience.
