Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. James 4:10 Humility brings us into line with Christ. With humility we start the process of coming to believe. In order to get to where we can be restored, we have to have humility. We come with humility. We come knowing that we can’t restore ourselves. We come with humility to believe that God can do what we cannot do. We are restored through a process of understanding that God is God and we are not. The process of being restored begins and ends with humility. Humility is essential if we are to experience sanity. Humility is necessary for us to begin the healing process. Without humility we cannot change and grow in God’s love. When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Proverbs 11:2
