Hundreds of you were extras in the independent film Laggies that was filmed in the summer of 2013 here in Seattle. Directed by local filmmaker Lynn Shelton and starring Keira Knightly, Chloe Grace Moretz, Sam Rockwell and Jeff Garlin: imdb/title/tt2034031 Opening weekend for the film is THIS weekend! Please go out and support local film if at all possible. OPENING WEEKEND OF LAGGIES IS UPON US!! This is a make-or-break moment for our dear movie when it opens in six theaters in NY, LA, and Seattle. If the film doesnt perform well in these first few theaters opening weekend, other theaters across the land will be less willing to give Laggies a shot in their theaters over the following weeks. Our wonderful distributor, A24, is smart and nimble, but they are too small to create an expensive marketing campaign... And thats where you could come in! Please consider: -Encouraging friends and neighbors and strangers on the street to see the film (bribing is encouraged!) -Flogging the film on social media to the point of annoyance (I certainly plan to!) -Physically dragging a large flock of acquaintances, co-workers, and elderly aunts to see the film in the cinema with you!
