Hungary does not support EU sanctions against Russia Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said the project South Stream beneficial to the country, he does not intend to abandon it. In response, Russia has begun proceedings in the WTO on the Application of Standards of the Energy Package, prohibiting companies producing gas, own main pipelines in the EU. The project South Stream through the Black Sea to the countries of Southern and Central Europe is aimed at diversifying export routes for Russian gas. Its construction started on December 7, 2012 near Anapa. Miller reported that at the end of 2015 through the pipeline South Stream will be delivered by the first natural gas.
