Hunger Games Mockingjay still had great acting, from Elizabeth Banks (who provided some much needed darkly comical pep/optimism), Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Jennifer Lawrence (the standout performance, once again). Its a great film, but it had an overwhelming feeling of desperateness, as if the filmmakers were trying to purposely prolong/extend certain scenes beyond their logical endpoint, just to get it to be a standard Part 1 film. Splitting films into two-parts was fine with Deathly Hallows, but it is becoming an unnecessary addiction for Hollywood.
