Hunger Strike in Prishtina – Day 8 (8 June) We continue to - TopicsExpress

Hunger Strike in Prishtina – Day 8 (8 June) We continue to stoically resist hunger to demonstrate our opposition against the selective processes mounted against the Liberation War of the KLA by Salustro through EULEX. Salustro continues to gather former informants, quislings and Albanian-speaking members of the Serbian armed forces, to bear false witness against former KLA commanders. Salustro’s efforts went so far that in Skenderaj he made public a protected witness in order to reinforce the commitment. The people of Albania decided not to retaliate against the former neo-fascist quislings of the Milosevic regime, but this peaceful agreement is being compromised by Salustro’s conspiracies. We fear that Salustro’s dishonorable judiciary process may provoke civil war in Kosova. Our demands continue to be: - We ask the Head of EULEX, Mr. Bernd Borchardt, to intervene and take the appropriate action against prosecutor Salustro and others like him who are engaged in this incongruous mission. - We request Foreign Minister, Enver Hoxhaj, to use his powers to declare Salustro as a persona non grata (an unwelcome person). - We ask the Minister of Interior, Mr. Bajram Rexhepi, to cleanse his Ministry of Fadil Syleviqi and others like him, for he is a key suspect in the disappearance of Dr. Hafir Shala. Likewise, he was implicated during the war for being a supporter of the armed forces of Serbia, and also is responsible for serious crimes as Chief Investigator for producing false witnesses. - We desire that the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kosova not capitulate under the pressure of other Salustros and Syleviqis when deliberating the case of Ambassador Sylejman Selimi, former Commander of the General Staff of the Kosovo Liberation Army, and others. Steadfast determination must be shown to uphold justice, as Prosecutor Salustro has mounted a process to discredit the KLA War and to balance the crimes committed by the Serbian armed forces with those of the KLA. - If Minister Hoxhaj and Minister Rexhepi do not want take any responsibility, at least explain to us whether or not they have the competency to convey our message. We then request Prime Minister Hashim Thaqi to reconsider whether these ministers have the capability to serve in these positions. - We also ask the Kosova Parliment to be more autonomous in their debates and decision-making on all these issues that we have raised. We will continue our hunger strike for as long as our demands continue to be ignored. We ask our fellow citizens for their understanding. Strikers (Blerim Muriqi, Xhemë Gjura, Murat Bajrami, Ibrahim Kelmendi)
