Huntsville Hosts Career Readiness Seminar on Monday, Oct. 20 (Huntsville, AL) –The City of Huntsville is hosting a Career Readiness Seminar on Monday, Oct. 20, at the Dr. Richard Showers Recreation Center Community Room from 6:00 -7:30 p.m. This seminar will focus on job opportunities in the service industry. Presenters will be LaJuana Miller, Human Resources Manager of Verizon Wireless; Karol Waddell, Ready-To-Work Training Specialist, J. F. Drake State Community & Technical College; and a representative from the hospitality industry. The presenters will focus on job opportunities in the service industries as well as the skills related to getting these jobs including interviewing, resume writing, dressing for success, appropriate use of social media and technology. This is the third career readiness seminar the City of Huntsville has hosted in recent months. It is free to the public.
