Hurricane #Arthur Updated as Category 2 Approaching eastern North Carolina this afternoon. If you are located in areas with mandatory/voluntary evacuations, please take these instructions seriously and leave for inland areas or evacuation shelters. Winds may gust to 100 mph in down east Carteret County and the Outer Banks. Low lying areas along the coast will be very vulnerable to storm surge of 3 to 5 feet above ground with localized spots up to 6 feet. The Oceanfront of the Crystal Coast and Outer Banks will experience significant waves with erosion and over-wash. Be safe,dont go out too soon afterwards!
