Hurricane update. Ive been quietly preparing for the possibility of a week without electricity. Maui electric has been redoing our powerlines upgrading they say over the last two weeks and we have temporary poles, jumper cables, and lots of plastic tubes holding together the powerlines outside our house. So Ive bought a generator and fuel and lots of food. Were at 2250 feet and now it looks like the storm may hit the side of the mountain here with 100+ mph winds....so the drill may be real. So Ill meditate at my usual spot this morning, then pick up an emergency pet carrier (or two), extra fuel for the generator and anything else I can think of. Honestly, I have no idea what else well need or to do! Note: We are still smiling and happy, and filling water jugs :o) (Photos, pre-storm sunset last night with the temp lines in the distance)
