Hurriyat JK, Hurriyat-G organized a joint event in commemoration of Shaheed-e-Azeemat Sheikh Aziz Srinagar, Aug 11: In connection with the anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azeemat Sheikh Abdul Aziz, a fabulous event was held which was jointly organized by Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir and Hurriyat Conference (G) at martyrs’ graveyard here. The event was attended by Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Shabir Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Yusuf Naqash, Wajahat Qureshi, Muhammad Yasin Ataai, Bilal Ahmad Shah, Molvi Bashir Ahmad, Muhammad Yusuf Mujahid, Mehraj ud Din Kalwal, Muhammad Ashraf Laya, Mukhtar Ahmad Sofi and dozens of HCJK activists. The speakers while addressing on the occasion said the sacrifices rendered by our martyrs are valuable assets for us and we are indebted to these great martyrs. “We cannot refrain from the path pursued by these martyrs. Their precious blood will reap results very soon. For the pursuance of the goal our martyrs chose to, we have to consolidate our ranks within ourselves and remain steadfast to our mission,” they said. “The current phase of freedom movement demands that we should differentiate between right and wrong and say goodbye to those who have become weary and dejected so to liberate the freedom movement from obstacles created by such persons,” the speakers vowed. While pledging to observe this day as “Youm-e-Tajdeed”, the speakers also vowed to secure and safeguard the invaluable sacrifices rendered by the martyrs. They said we should continue to endeavor at every level with full zeal and vigor with regards to the freedom movement. The speakers reiterated their stand on following the Hurriyat Constitution which aims at implementing the UN resolutions and favors tripartite dialogue for the resolution of Kashmir. “Any other alternative is treason with the ongoing freedom struggle and we will never allow any such move from anybody,” they vowed.
