Hurriyat (M) finalizes Martyrs’Day programme. Hurriyat Conference (M) has finalized all the arrangements to make the Martyrs Day programme a successful event on July 13. “According to the programme, the Hurriyat leaders will lead the processions from their respective areas in districts and converge at Central Jamia Masjid, Srinagar where the amalgam chairman would lead a joint procession towards Naqashband Sahib (RA) shrine to pay tributes to the July 13 martyrs,”a Hurriyat (M) spokesman said in a statement. The decision to this effect was taken at the executive council and general council meeting of the amalgam held here with its chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. “The meeting decided that following leaderswould lead the processions from their respective districts: Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi from Imam Bara Budgam, MoulanaAbbas Ansari from Mirgund Pattan, Abdul Gani Bhat, Musadiq Adil and G N Zaki from Sopore, Bilal Gani Lone from Handwara, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza from Anantnag, Syed Salim Geelani from Ganderbal, Zaffar Akbar Bhat from Saraibala, Khalil Mohammad Khalil from Baramulla, Advocate Shahid-ul- Islam from Jamia Masjid Dalgate, Hakima Abdul Rashid from Soura, Syed Bashir Andrabi fromPulwama, and Yasmeen Raja would lead the procession from Pampore and reach Jamia Masjid, Srinagar,” said the spokesman. Paying rich tributes to the martyrs of July 13,1931, the participants reiterated that the Hurriyat was firm on its traditional stand andwould continue with its ongoing struggle onpolitical and diplomatic fronts.
