Hurriyat (M) organizes seminar on #Pathribal case Srinagar, Jan 29: The Hurriyat Conference organized a one day seminar at its headquarters on Wednesday titled “Murder of Justice by the sword of AFSPA”. The smienar was chaired by Moulana Abbas Ansari, and the seminar was organized in view of army court’s decision of closing Pathribal case. According to a statement issued to KNS, a spokesman of Hurriyat (M) said senior hurriyat leader and former Chairman Moulana Mohammad Abbas Ansari presided over the seminar. The other senior leaders present in the seminar included Prof Abdul Gani Bhat, Bilal Gani Lone, Musadiq Adil, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Abdul Majid Banday, Agha Syed Hassan Al Mujtaba, Ghulam Mohammad Nagoo, Imtiyaz Reshi, Moulana M. S Rehman Shamas. Besideas Zaffar Akbar Bhat, Hilal Ahmad War Javed Ahmad Mir, Abdul Manan Bukhari, former chairman of Bar Association, Nazir Ahmad Ronga and Abdul Majid Banday addressed the gathering in the seminar. On the occasion, hurriyat passed the following resolutions; “That the people of Kashmiri would continue their struggle against the repression and oppression at every level with full resolve. Kashmiris would continue to resist the draconian laws by virtue of which they are being repressed by the occupation. Reiterating that they would bring all of their political, diplomatic and legal resources to confront such laws, APHC said it would take serious steps for the abrogation of black laws.” “Terming Pathribal incident as barbarous and inhuman, the resolution resolved Kashmiris cannot be coerced to surrender from their stand. It further stressed that accused in the Pathribal case should be punished as per the rules of international code of law and justice.” “The main cause of gross human rights violation is the dreaded military occupation of Kashmir who are breaching all the moral, political and social values of Kashmiris. Till Kashmir issue is not resolved, people will continue to fight for the right to self determination.” Senior lawyers, Advocate Nazir Ahmad Ronga, and Abdul Majid Banday said AFPSA gives license to troopers to kill people at will and there was a need to start a campaign on political and legal level to end this situation. In his presidential address, Moulana Mohammad Abbas Ansari said that Kashmir issue should be solved according to the pending UN resolutions or though tripartite dialogue. He said for that to happen it was compulsory to create conducive atmosphere by taking CBM’s like demilitarization and revocation of AFPSA and other black laws. On jan 31, 2014, APHC has appealed people to observe strike and organize peaceful gatherings to protest against the AFSPA and other draconian laws imposed in Kashmir.
