Husband and I have tickets to the symphony playing Beethoven 5 tonight, so Im warming up my ears, so to speak. Beethoven is my favorite composer EVER, but I never feel I can play his pieces as beautifully as I hear them in my head and as deeply as they move me in my soul. This is one of the sonatas from his late period, and it is a subtle little beauty, one of Beethovens personal favorites, but very, VERY difficult to pull off, as is all his late period stuff. Youve gotta be over the age of 45 to interpret them properly, I was told once, when I was 22...well, Im getting there lol. Im including this one into the compilation Im making for Sweatshop 202 because I just really love it.
