Hussainabad Picture Gallery in Lucknow is situated near the Chhota Imambara and the Gallery Building is visible from the main road. Built by the third Nawab of Awadh, Nawab Mohammad Ali Shah in the year 1838 for being used as a Royal summer house, Picture Gallery is one of the most liked tourist spot in Lucknow. It is also called as Baradari as building made at that time were often called as Baradari because of the 12 doorways. There are around 30 stairs to reach the Picture Gallery. In front of the Picture gallery, you can view a large and beautiful water pond which enhances the charm of the Picture Gallery. Surrounded by green lawns and trees, it houses life-size portraits of all Nawabas of Awadh which provides us knowledge about the contemporary grand costumes and jewelry used by the Nawabs.
