Hydration goes hand in hand with good health because water carries nutrients and oxygen throughout the body, helps convert food to energy and helps regulate body temperature. Staying hydrated can even help with weight loss, according to the Mayo Clinic. The body needs to replace between two and three quarts of water daily and when were sick our bodies need even more water, according to the University of Washington Seattle. Staying hydrated improves health and can help increase your energy level throughout the day. How Much Should I Drink? The Mayo Clinic suggests drinking eight 8-ounce glasses of water per day, but physically active people need more water to stay hydrated depending on how much they sweat. One way to know if youre fully hydrated is by looking at your urine color. Clear urine means youre hydrated and dark yellow urine means your body needs more water, according to Columbia University. The darker your urine is the less hydrated your body is. The amount of water the body needs differs from person to person. PLEASE STAY HYDRATED!!
