I - what to say !!! A movie, that no other director, except Shankar and No other actor except Vikram could have done... Awesome would be an understatement.. This has got to be Vikram and Shankars BIGGEST movie till date.. The trademark of shankar is visible in every frame and every shot.. Vikram - oh boy.. Watte man he is! Donno how many awards he is gonna bag for this movie.. He has not acted, he has lived every role.. Be it the bodybuilder, the model or the hunchback . Second half la he ll definitely make you cry at places... Dheiva level performance! Amy Jackson has done a very neat job and looks like a doll.. #FlawlessBeauty .. And has done justice to her role.. A much much better actress than the Mumbai imports... Santhanam does his usual job.. Laughter assured at places.. And a very good role for him, which he does with ease... Music, cinematography and other technical aspects were all top notch and probably world class.. Pookkale sattru oyvedungal must have been shot in some other planet.. Amazing cinematography...the BGM in the fight scenes were too good.. ARR _/\_ The the stunt sequences stand out.. The bicycle stunt was wow.. And the rapid boxing scene with Upen Patel is something new for us... This film, just like Shankars previous ones makes a strong impact on you... It will make you feel at places.. Vikram and all his hardworks deserve a _/\_ Tamil cinema has never seen such a grand movie like this before and I doubt whether it will, in the future!!! Shankar is definitely Indias Spielberg.. I - definitely worth the wait and definitely more worthy than your ticket money.. This movie too has got its drawbacks.. To start with, its too lengthy.. Some scenes in first half can be trimmed... screenplay was a lil slow.. Too much hype was put on the movie, and its pretty clear that the movie could not fulfill them all.. And Shankar, to be honest, has not done complete justice to all the hardwork and sacrifice put up by Vikram... Positives : Vikram.. Shankars grandeur film making.. Amy Jackson and her screen presence.. Music of course and cinematography.. Overall, I is an ordinary revenge story, told in the most extraordinary way.. P.S : I would rate Anniyan a better movie still... !
