I AM BECAUSE YOU ARE GALATIANS 6:1-4 – “Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. As you woke up today, what was the first thing that crossed your mind? One of the biggest problems that human beings experience today is that they fail to see beyond their situation and because of that, they no longer value their neighbour. If we reject someone because of his weakness, we also reject his strength. Don’t reject anyone on account of today because tomorrow is mystery. Someone who is a thorn in your flesh today may be your helper tomorrow. Today, relationships crumble and people miss their goal because they have rejected their prospective helpers because of inability to see beyond their situation at hand. In Galatians 6, we are taught that in the world today, there is no perfect relationship; therefore, there must be forgiveness. Forgiveness paves the way for harmonious relationships. In John 4, Jesus did not reject the sinful Samaritan woman because He will never reject anyone that comes to Him to be cleansed from sin. In Matthew 6:12, we are taught that we need to forgive because we need to be forgiven. I am because you are and you are because I am.
